Thanks to your vote, this week I'll be giving away A Temptation of Angels by Michelle Zink.

When her parents are murdered before her eyes, sixteen-year-old Helen Cartwright finds herself launched into an underground London where a mysterious organization called the Dictata controls the balance of good and evil. Helen learns that she is one of three remaining angelic descendants charged with protecting the world's past, present, and future. Unbeknownst to her, she has been trained her whole life to accept this responsibility. Now, as she finds herself torn between the angelic brothers protecting her and the devastatingly handsome childhood friend who wants to destroy her, she must prepare to be brave, to be hunted, and above all to be strong, because temptation will be hard to resist, even for an angel.

Michelle Zink masterfully weaves historical fantasy with paranormal romance to create a gripping tale of love and betrayal.

  1. Most definitely! They can be cheesy, but if love triangles are written the right way, they can leave you sitting on the edge of your seat. :)

  2. Yes and no. I like them because it means that at some point a decision has to be made. I don't like them because the main character takes so long to figure out what they want. Example A: Elena on The Vampire Diaries.

  3. I'm definitely a fan of love triangles. It's more fun when you don't know who will end up with who!!

  4. The only time I don't mind them is if he moves along the plotline. If it's cheesy as hell(sorry, Twi-hards, I'm not a fan of that enterprise, nor the triangle). If it's somehow working into the solution(as in, the bad dude or dudette ends up being one of those in the triangle.). Sometimes, I feel it steals something from the plot.

  5. I always feel bad for the one who gets left out!

  6. I despise love triangles. I'm a fan of one-on-one romance. It just ticks me off when a fickle lead character bounces back and forth between two love interests!

  7. Usually no because then the plot revolves around the love triangle too much

  8. It depends- sometimes I don't mind a good love triangle (if they are done right). Other times I would just prefer to have the heroine know who she wants to be with! :))

  9. I usually don't like love triangles. They complicate the book, and if the person that you root for in the love triangle doensn't get picked by the protagonists, it can make me like the book less. Thanks for the giveaway =D

  10. It depends. I like them to an extent, but they start to annoy me if they last to long! I always feel like yelling, "Make up your mind already!"

  11. i love love triangles. it's fun to root for the character to end up with the one you like and to see who ends the character does end up picking. but it does suck when the your choice is the one the character ends up with.

  12. I actually don't mind them. But it gets frustrating when you love one character and hate the other one...then guess who ends up with the MC...yeah the character you hate. That's when I start not to like love triangles. But there are a bunch of books that make both characters likeable.

  13. I don't mind love triangles. If I did, I think I would have to stop reading YA novels all together because almost every single one seems to have a triangle these days. What I would like to see is some 1 guy/2 girl triangles because the girl with two guys is tiresome at this point. Let's make it interesting!

  14. I love a good triangle as long as both guys are worthy of the MC's love.
